Most BambooSIM travel eSIMs are data-only, meaning they do not support sending or receiving SMS messages or phone calls. The main exception is our South Korea SKT Unlimited eSIM and pickup SIM range, where calls and texts can be enabled after passport authentication and recharge.
If you are using a standard data-only eSIM, keep your primary SIM active for calls or SMS if you need bank codes, airline messages, or Wi-Fi calling. Remember to turn off mobile data roaming on your primary SIM/eSIM to avoid unintended charges.
