BambooSIM respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the Personal Data we collect. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we handle your data while you use our services.

By accessing or using a BambooSIM service, including visiting our website or providing us with your Personal Data, you agree to the practices and obligations outlined in this Policy.


1. User Choice

BambooSIM is committed to transparency and user control. You can limit, restrict, or deny BambooSIM's ability to share your Personal Data with third parties or use it for purposes beyond those for which it was originally collected, as permitted by law. To exercise these choices, please submit a request through our Support Centre.


2. Applicability

2.1 This Policy applies to you and any users covered under your account (“Covered Users”) with respect to our services. You are responsible for:

  • Informing all Covered Users of this Policy, including any updates or changes.
  • Agreeing to this Policy on behalf of all Covered Users.

3. Types of Data We Collect

BambooSIM considers any data that can directly or indirectly identify you as “Personal Data.” This includes all Personal Data accessed, collected, maintained, transmitted, and/or used by BambooSIM in the normal course of business, governed by this Policy, our Terms of Service, and applicable law. Unless otherwise specified, you consent to BambooSIM sharing your Personal Data as needed to provide services.


4. How We Collect Data

4.1 Cookies and Analytics
BambooSIM uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience and improve our services. These tools may be stored locally and are used for operational, functional, performance, analytical, and marketing purposes. We also use third-party tools, like Google Analytics, to gather anonymised data, such as browser information, geographic location, and website navigation data. You may opt out of data collection by Google Analytics by downloading their opt-out browser add-on or managing your preferences in our Support Centre.

4.2 When You Sign Up for an Account
When you create an account, we collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, password (stored as a hash), and any preferences or consents. Where required by law or to prevent fraud, we may also collect limited identity-verification information.

4.3 When You Download or Use Our App
When you download, install, or use the BambooSIM app, we automatically collect technical and usage information, including device type, operating system and version, app version, language, crash logs, diagnostics, and anonymous identifiers (e.g., device or install ID, push notification token). If you grant permissions (e.g., approximate location, camera for eSIM activation), we process that data solely to provide the requested features. You can control these permissions in your device settings. Please also note that app stores (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play) may collect their own data in accordance with their privacy policies.

4.4 When You Buy a Product or Service
If you purchase a plan, eSIM, or other BambooSIM product or service, we collect order details, contact information, billing/shipping address, and transaction information. Payments are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full credit card numbers. Where required (e.g., to provision service or meet regulatory obligations), we may collect additional information necessary to fulfil your order and comply with applicable laws.


5. Purpose of Data Collection

5.1 For Customers
We use Personal Data to process service requests, fulfil orders, process payments, provide access to secure areas, and enable BambooSIM to enhance our products and services. This information also helps prevent fraud and enables third parties to perform functions on our behalf.

5.2 For Website Visitors
BambooSIM may use Personal Data to share information about our services with visitors and to improve website content and user experience. Visitors can choose whether to share information with BambooSIM and may opt out of certain processes as outlined in this Policy.

5.3 For Payment Information
Account holders may be asked to enter payment details to process orders. This information is securely transferred to a third-party provider for processing and may be encrypted and stored for logging purposes. Payment information is used only for processing payments.

5.4 For Website Use Information
We use website data to analyse user interests, develop web content, customise your browsing experience, and manage BambooSIM’s website. We may also use:

  • IP addresses to diagnose server issues and administer our website.
  • Cookies and tools to recognise returning users, personalise content, avoid repeated advertisements, and compile aggregated statistics for site improvement.
  • Web beacons to count advertisement views and monitor email content engagement.

5.5 For Support Information
Information provided to us via calls, chat, email, and web forms is used to communicate with you about services, establish accounts, and provide support. Calls may be recorded for training and operational purposes.

5.6 Marketing, offers, and cart/checkout reminders

We may use your Personal Data (such as your name, email address, phone number, and information about your interactions with our website or app, including products you viewed or added to cart/checkout) to send you communications about BambooSIM, including:

  • Service-related communications (e.g., receipts, eSIM delivery information, account/security notices, and support messages); and
  • Marketing and promotional communications (e.g., product updates, special offers, and reminders to complete a purchase you started, such as cart or checkout reminders).

We may send these communications by email, SMS, push notification, or in-app message where you have provided the relevant contact details and (where required) permissions.

You can opt out of marketing and promotional communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our messages or by contacting our Support Centre. Opting out of marketing will not stop essential service-related messages.


6. Disclosure to Third Parties

BambooSIM may disclose Personal Data to third parties, including regulatory and law enforcement agencies, as required by law or to protect BambooSIM’s rights and interests. Disclosures may occur:

  • To comply with legal obligations or enforce the Terms of Service.
  • To protect the rights and safety of others.
  • To aid efforts in controlling fraud or other unlawful conduct.
  • With service providers who agree to follow our data protection standards and use the information solely to provide services to BambooSIM.

7. Access and Control of Personal Data

You control access to Personal Data within BambooSIM’s account management interface. You may update or delete your information at any time. BambooSIM may retain certain data, such as network logs, indefinitely where it is legally required or for fraud prevention. We will grant reasonable access to your Personal Data and correct or delete inaccurate information as permitted by law.


8. Sensitive Information

BambooSIM does not intentionally collect sensitive data (e.g., health or medical information, political beliefs). Compliance with relevant laws for any sensitive data hosted on our systems is your responsibility.


9. Third-Party Data Transfers

BambooSIM may transfer Personal Data to third parties as necessary to provide services. If BambooSIM transfers your Personal Data to a third party who misuses it, BambooSIM remains responsible unless it can prove the misuse was beyond its control.


10. Children’s Online Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

BambooSIM reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Changes are effective 14 days after posting or upon your continued use of our services, whichever occurs later. Please review this Policy regularly for updates.


14. Verification

BambooSIM uses a self-assessment approach to verify compliance with this Policy. We conduct annual assessments, provide employee training, and maintain internal procedures to ensure privacy practices align with international standards. A company representative signs a statement verifying this compliance at least once per year.
