Some eligible legacy eSIMs may show a paid self-service replacement option in the BambooSIM portal. Replacement eligibility depends on the product and is separate from adding data.
Before ordering a replacement
- Do not delete an eSIM just because it is not connecting. Troubleshooting normally does not require deletion.
- Make sure you have access to unrestricted internet, such as reliable Wi-Fi.
- Creating the replacement immediately terminates the existing eSIM and plan. The old eSIM will stop working and cannot be restored.
Order the replacement
- Log in to the BambooSIM portal.
- Open the eligible eSIM.
- Select Replacement.
- Review the warning and complete the $2 USD payment, or the equivalent in your selected currency.
After the new eSIM is created, the remaining eligible data plan is reassigned to it on a pro-rata basis. You will receive new installation details by email.
Other eSIM products cannot be automatically replaced through this process. If you deleted another type of eSIM, or need help deciding whether replacement is required, please submit a ticket.
