An eSIM has two separate time periods:
- Activation window: how long you have after purchase to connect and activate it for the first time.
- Plan validity: how long the data plan lasts after activation.
The exact activation window and plan validity are shown on the product page and in your order details. Those product-specific details should always be followed.
Typical activation windows are:

Most products activate automatically when the eSIM is switched on and first connects to a supported network in the destination. The plan's advertised validity then begins according to the product rules.
This plan does not yet support top-ups or validity extensions—but it’s something we’re working on behind the scenes. If its allowance or validity ends, purchase a new plan for the destination.
