Do not delete your eSIM while troubleshooting. Turning an eSIM off is safe; deleting it is different and is usually permanent.

An eSIM can generally only be installed once. If it is not connecting, first check the product-specific APN and roaming settings, select it for mobile data, cycle Aeroplane Mode, and restart the device.

Some eligible legacy eSIMs may show a paid self-service replacement option in the portal, but many products cannot be automatically replaced if deleted.

Only remove an eSIM when:

  • the plan is permanently finished and you no longer need it; or
  • BambooSIM Support has specifically confirmed that it is safe to remove.

Remove an eSIM after it is no longer needed

iPhone

  1. Open Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data.
  2. Select the eSIM.
  3. Tap Remove Cellular Plan and confirm.

Samsung

  1. Open Settings > Connections > SIM manager.
  2. Select the eSIM.
  3. Tap Remove and confirm.

Google Pixel

  1. Open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs.
  2. Select the eSIM.
  3. Tap Delete SIM and confirm.

Once deleted, the eSIM normally cannot be recovered.
