If you’re having trouble connecting to the internet, there could be a few reasons. Try the following troubleshooting steps based on common connectivity issues:
-
Check Your eSIM Activation
Make sure your eSIM is properly installed and active. If you’re not sure, go to your device’s network settings and ensure the eSIM shows as "active." -
Verify Data Settings and APN
On Android and Windows, ensure the selected APN profile uses Name: globaldata and APN: globaldata. If needed, create this APN profile and then select it from the APN list. -
Confirm Data Plan Status
Check that your data plan is active and not expired. If your plan has expired, contact BambooSIM support to purchase a top-up. -
Enable Data Roaming
For iPhone, Android, and Windows, make sure Data Roaming is enabled for your BambooSIM eSIM. Keep roaming off on your primary SIM/eSIM to avoid unintended charges. -
Restart Your Device
A simple restart can often resolve connectivity issues. Power off your device, wait a moment, and power it back on. -
Check Signal Strength
Ensure you’re in an area with strong cellular reception. Buildings, basements, and rural areas may have weaker signal strength.
Important: The APN and Data Roaming steps above do not apply to Japan or Vietnam Single Use or Unlimited bundles.
