How do I install my eSIM on an Android?

Installing an eSIM on your device is simple. Follow the steps below for your device type. Remember, eSIMs can only be installed once. If you need to reinstall or transfer it, a replacement fee of $2.00 USD applies. Contact support if you need help with replacements.

Samsung

Go to Settings.
Select Connections, then SIM manager.
Tap Add eSIM.
Tap Scan QR Code.
Scan the QR code, or enter eSIM details manually using Enter activation code. You can also upload a screenshot/photo of the QR code using the image icon at the bottom right.
Follow the on-screen instructions to finish setup.

Google Pixel

Open Settings.
Tap Network & internet.
Select + next to Mobile network.
Use the QR code or manually enter eSIM details.
Follow the setup prompts.

Required Android settings after installation

Open APN / Access Point Names settings.
If needed, add a new APN profile with Name set to globaldata and APN set to globaldata.
Save the APN profile, then select globaldata from the APN list.
Turn Data Roaming On for your BambooSIM eSIM.

Once installed, your eSIM is ready for use and you can enjoy our global data coverage.

Important: The APN and Data Roaming steps above do not apply to Japan or Vietnam Single Use or Unlimited bundles. For those bundles, follow the bundle-specific instructions included with your order.
