Before entering the installation details again, check whether the eSIM is already installed. A QR code that can no longer be used—or an Unable to Activate eSIM or Failed to Activate eSIM message after an earlier attempt—often means the installation has already completed.
Check the complete eSIM list in your device settings. The newest eSIM is usually near the bottom, and its name is not necessarily BambooSIM. Japan eSIMs may appear as KDDI or au.
If the eSIM is not installed, use the manual details from your order:
iPhone
- Open Settings.
- Go to Cellular or Mobile Data.
- Tap Add eSIM.
- Select Use QR Code, then Enter Details Manually.
- Enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code provided.
Samsung
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager.
- Tap Add eSIM, then choose Enter activation code.
- Enter the details and follow the prompts.
Google Pixel
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > + Mobile Network.
- Enter the details provided. Some Pixel models require the activation-code format shown in your order instructions.
- Complete the setup as prompted.
Windows
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular.
- Choose Add an eSIM, then Enter Code Manually.
- Enter the installation details.
Do not delete an installed eSIM to try again. Most eSIMs can only be installed once.
